Since the loops and effects are automatically synchronized to the tempo of the track it is very easy to do some amazing grooves and soundscapes without problems of latency audio or discrepancy as total noise often associated with using software and laptops.
One of the most striking features is the flexible mold at the entrance, through which, any audio source can be connected to any or all of the channels. Different sound processing can be applied to the same track on separate channels and you can exchange them, or sampling looper part in the channel can be added to the track later in the mix.
The heart of the Xone: DB4 is a powerful Quad FX Core DSP device, allowing each channel to have its own FX bank and BPM a detection system that automatically adjusts all time- effects and loops to the tempo of the music.
There are five types of studio-quality effects, optimized for DJ use - delay, reverb, modulator, resonator and damage - plus each type of effect a library with different variations of the effects. Each FX bank has a dedicated rotary control button to adjust the amount of mixing of clean signal with a signal influenced by the effect / wet / dry /, as additional changes can be made using the basic controls in the Master FX section.
Each channel has a built Looper, with selectable loop length from 1/16 beat to 4 bars. DB4 will always record the full 4 bars, so the cycle can be expanded or contracted at will.

3 band EQ that can be configured as standard asymmetric EQ (+ 6 / -25dB), Isolator (+ 6dB / OFF with a 24dB / octave slope) or reconfigured as a High-Pass / Low-Pass filter system with adjustable resonance.
EQ buttons change their color to show which type of EQ is active. Mic / Line inputs have 2 sector EQ, gain, cue and mix level. It may also be directed to channel 1 for adding effects.
The built-in high quality (24-bit / 96kHz), multichannel USB2 soundcard allows playing and recording audio software dispatches four stereo signal and four signal returns.
