MAGVEL FADER PRO crossfader

Find your ideal scratching feel with the popular MAGVEL FADER PRO crossfader, which features Feeling Adjust so you can adjust the "weight" and get the amount of resistance you like best. You can also be sure of the robust design of the fader; The mounting axis of the knob is very stiff in the vertical direction, so it can handle energy scratch techniques.

Effect levers

Use the 2 large effect sticks to control up to 57 effects in Serato DJ Pro (including paid expansion packs). The levers are the same size as the flagship DJM-S11, and you can hold or release them to turn the effect on/off, or lock them so your hands are free to commentate and cross tracks while the effect is still on attached. You also have 2 banks where you can save effects giving you quick access to your favourites.

Performance pads

Get creative and experiment with 13 drop modes, including Hot Cue and Sampler. Using each deck's 4 performance pads, which measure 20.6mm x 20.6mm, you can trigger samples and find all kinds of new ways to 'remix' your tracks live and add texture to the music.

Scratch cutter

Start scratching right away - even if you've never tried before. Simply select one of 6 scratch patterns and engage the lossy Scratch Cutter function for effects, then move the control vinyl or jog wheel (when using DVS control) back and forth across the deck and the DJM-S5 will do the rest. The mixer applies a cutting effect to music in perfect time, emulating the popular transformer scratch technique without moving the cross fader. This feature offers a great way to tap to learn to cross. You can concentrate on getting the timing right with the control vinyl before losing to the more challenging technique of using the crossfader.
